Meet the Chef

Chef Ernest Dickson, Sous Chef at St Jude Children's Research Hospital, gives us a view of the community garden.  There's a smorgasbord of vegetables and herbs, basil, thyme, tomatoes, red yellow green bell peppers, horseradish, eggplant, asparagus and more.

Chef Ernest, not only works as a chef but he cares about the projects with St Jude.  Chef Dickson also, gives his time to many charitable events.  He just finished The Blues Ball, and is now scheduled to take part in The Chef's Extraordinaire, A Taste Around The World, to benefit the Heal The Hood Foundation, which makes a difference in the lives of youth.

Chef Ernest's company, Dicksons Custom Catering, is a springboard to train and develop teens and young adults, who are challenged or underprivileged.  He has a dream, that he calls Transcending Lives.  With his world travels, finesse and vast culinary skills he plans to educate his youth about full service catering, food and beverage, and the business of making a difference in life.  Chef Dickson is the only Certified African American Executive Chef in his city Memphis, Tennessee.
