Aryen Moore-Alston of Food Network Star was in attendance and solidified her work as a child advocate, while conversing with Chef Ernest Dickson, the founder of Transcending Lives. Both of these chefs have been working to the betterment of  youth in a similar interest.  Chef Ernest has been a Community Partner of Knowledge Quest since, 1991.  Similarly, Aryen Moore-Alston joined Knowledge Quest, as a Culinaire and bridged a gap, while , still being loved, accepted and requested for by the children.  Culinary Arts has evolved while mastering the art of Outreach in the community.

I give sincere thanks to Chef John Greenwald and the Staff of Southland Park for the Special demonstration and honor given as Cuilinares.  The respect and effort put forth by you all, is recognized and especially received to be the Best in Culinaire.

Chef Ernest Dickson dedicates his life and work as one who works to transcend the lives of youth, toward Culinary Arts.

Chef Ernest Dickson Mentors Klondyke Preparatory School


All hands on board.....total involement.  I was invited to join in Parents Teachers night at Klondike Elementary School, and it was all about the children. 
I prepared nutritional desserts.  Fun and nutritional was my aim.  I prepared miniature parfaits, made of fresh fruit granola and yogurt.  As a supporter of First Lady Michelle Obama ' s program, "Chef's Move To School".
At the end of the day, fun was had by all, and we participated school nutrition. I had a ball with young culinarias were fantastic.

Meet the Chef





Chef Ernest Dickson, Sous Chef at St Jude Children's Research Hospital, gives us a view of the community garden.  There's a smorgasbord of vegetables and herbs, basil, thyme, tomatoes, red yellow green bell peppers, horseradish, eggplant, asparagus and more.
